1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using EditorN ("Service," "we," "our," or "us") at www.editorn.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Service Description

EditorN provides free online tools for file conversion, image editing, PDF manipulation, and other document processing services. Our tools include but are not limited to:

• PDF to Word conversion
• Image format conversion (JPEG to PNG, etc.)
• Image compression and resizing
• Background removal
• PDF editing tools (compress, split, merge, rotate)
• Business tools (logo maker, QR code generator, etc.)

Most tools process files CLIENT-SIDE in your browser. Your files do not leave your device except for the Background Removal tool, which uses our server for AI processing.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Service only for lawful purposes. You agree NOT to:

• Upload Illegal Content: Process files containing illegal, harmful, or offensive content.
• Violate Copyright: Process copyrighted material without proper authorization.
• Distribute Malware: Upload or process files containing viruses, malware, or malicious code.
• Abuse the Service: Use automated scripts or bots to overload our servers.
• Violate Privacy: Process files containing others' personal information without consent.
• Child Exploitation: Upload, process, or distribute any content related to child exploitation (CSAM).
• Terrorism: Use the Service to promote or facilitate terrorism or violence.
• Fraud: Use the Service for fraudulent activities or identity theft.

4. User Responsibility

YOU are solely responsible for:

• Your Content: All files you upload, process, or download using our Service.
• Legal Compliance: Ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Copyright: Having necessary rights and permissions for all content you process.
• Data Backup: Maintaining backups of your original files.
• Security: Protecting your device and internet connection.
• Consequences: Any consequences arising from your use of the Service.

6. Client-Side Processing

Most of our tools operate CLIENT-SIDE (in your browser):

• No Upload: Your files are NOT uploaded to our servers.
• Browser Processing: All processing happens in your web browser.
• Your Device: Your computer performs all conversions and edits.
• No Storage: We do NOT store any files you process.
• Automatic Deletion: Files are cleared when you close the browser tab.

Exception: The Background Removal tool uploads images to our server for AI processing, then immediately deletes them after processing.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind:

• No Accuracy Guarantee: We do not guarantee the accuracy or quality of file conversions.
• No Availability Guarantee: The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues.
• No Error-Free Guarantee: The Service may contain bugs or errors.
• No Fitness Guarantee: We do not guarantee the Service is fit for your particular purpose.
• Use at Your Own Risk: You use the Service entirely at your own risk.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EditorN, its owners, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any laws or regulations
• Your violation of third-party rights (copyright, privacy, etc.)
• Content you upload, process, or distribute

10. Copyright and DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content processed through our Service infringes your copyright:

Note: Since we do not store user files, we cannot remove infringing content. However, we will investigate reports of repeat infringers and may block access to the Service.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to:

• Terminate or suspend access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice.
• Block IP addresses that abuse the Service.
• Remove or disable access to tools or features.
• Discontinue the Service entirely.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, stop using the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of these courts.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and EditorN regarding the Service.
